Stage 1

Day 1 – Your First Munro Adventure

Following your arrival in Scotland, we'll meet for an introduction, discuss the planned routes and review the weather and mountain conditions. Depending on your chosen location and arrival arrangements, we'll begin with your first guided Munro adventure. This could be an individual summit, a classic mountain circuit or a route taking in several Munros. The day will be planned around your experience, fitness and the objectives we've agreed before the trip. Following our time on the mountains, we'll return to our accommodation to relax and prepare for the following day.

Stage 2

Day 2 – Exploring the Scottish Highlands

Our second day provides another opportunity to explore the magnificent Scottish mountains. Depending on your chosen region, we might tackle a longer mountain circuit, link several Munros together or take on one of Scotland's classic mountain walking routes. With the benefit of local route planning and professional mountain leadership, you'll be able to concentrate on the experience, scenery and challenge of the day. After returning from the mountains, we'll review the weather forecast and plans for our final adventure.

Fitness & Experience

Is This Adventure Right for You?

Fitness A good general level of fitness is recommended, as Scottish Munros can involve long mountain days, significant elevation gain and walking over steep, rough and uneven terrain. Depending on the routes selected, you could expect to spend between 5 and 9 hours in the mountains each day, although some routes may be shorter or considerably longer. As this is a three-day adventure, you should feel comfortable undertaking consecutive days of mountain walking, with consideration given to the cumulative effects of fatigue. We'll discuss your current fitness and walking experience before designing your itinerary, ensuring that the planned routes are appropriate for you and your group. Mountain Experience Previous mountain walking experience is beneficial but isn't essential for every itinerary. For those new to Scottish Munros, we can select accessible routes that provide an excellent introduction to Scotland's mountains. More experienced hillwalkers may wish to tackle longer mountain circuits, multiple Munro summits or more challenging terrain. Certain routes involve steep ground, exposed ridges or scrambling and may require additional experience and specialist arrangements. A Personalised Approach Before confirming your adventure, we'll discuss your fitness, previous mountain experience and the type of challenge you're looking for. Our aim is to create a rewarding mountain experience that challenges you appropriately while prioritising safety, enjoyment and flexibility. All mountain activities remain subject to weather, ground conditions and the capabilities of the group.
